It's been 46 weeks to the day since my last journal entry. Obviously a lot's happened since then. For a start, the whole summer has gone by and we're heading back into winter. It's 25°C at the moment though, at 10pm at night, so we're not quite there yet!

It wasn't long after my last entry that I became single, and to be honest, I'm not really looking to change that. The fact is, I like being single. I can do what I want, when I want, without having to explain myself to anyone. It's quite liberating. Not to mention the fact that I love being able to spread out on my bed when I'm going to sleep :D

Not long ago I discovered the writings of H. P. Lovecraft. He's an American writer from the 1920's, often called the "Master of Macabre". He's most famous for creating the Cthulhu Mythos, which was the inspiration for one of my deviations. There's a movie coming out based on one of his stories called "At The Mountains of Madness" that everyone should keep an eye out for. It's going to be made by the guy who did Pan's Labyrinth, Hellboy, and Blade 2, so it should be good.

My latest news is that I just purchased a $300 panoramic tripod head. Unfortunately it won't arrive for a few weeks. I've been tossing up the idea for a while now, but with the Australian dollar at a 10-year high, I couldn't resist. For those who are unaware, a panorama is where you "stitch" together several photos to make one large one. For greatest effect, you can do so in a full 360° circle, which is the style I'm most interested in. When it does arrive, my Flickr page will no doubt be filled with them!

Danial I knew I recognised that Muton! This it The Veteran from strategycore, you did some art for me for Colonisation a long time ago and now that I've found you it would be downright rude of me to not ask you to do some more! The project is back on but we always need more artists and I still have the bits you did for us last time if you were interested in rejoining the team. Let me know mate on timmy_munt@yahoo.co.uk

You're welcome. That pic was a Deep One. I found it online. I contacted the artist about possibly getting a print of it or something, but they never replied. Shame.
